Where coding fits in Australian schools
The Australian Curriculum includes Digital Technologies, where students learn to think in steps, work with data and, by the upper primary and secondary years, write programs in a general-purpose language. Many schools cover it in a lesson a week or less, and some barely reach text-based programming at all.
Our classes pick up where school leaves off. Children start with Python, a real text-based language, and build things they are proud to show: games, quizzes, animations and small AI projects. The ideas from Digital Technologies, like sequencing, loops, decisions and data, are all there, practised every lesson instead of once a term.
Which course to start with
Python Beginner is ten classes for complete beginners aged 8 to 16. It covers the core ideas every later course builds on. Children who can read and type comfortably can start here, whatever their age.
After that, children pick what interests them. Python Game Design is sixteen classes building playable games. Python AI is sixteen classes on how programs can learn from data. Python Mastery is twenty-four classes for learners who want real depth. For teenagers, p5.js Game Development teaches JavaScript through visual, interactive projects.

Why small groups work for coding
Learning to code is mostly learning to fix your own mistakes. In a big class, a child who hits an error waits, loses momentum and often gives up. With four learners, the teacher can look at each child’s screen, ask them what they expected to happen, and help them find the bug themselves.
That habit, reading an error and reasoning about it, is the real skill. It carries over to every language they learn later.
What your child will build
In the first few lessons: programs that talk back, like a quiz that keeps score or a story that changes with the player’s choices. Then games with movement, levels and increasing difficulty, and programs that work with lists of data.
In the AI course, children train simple programs to recognise patterns and discuss where AI gets things wrong, which is a useful habit in a world full of chatbots. Every project is theirs to keep and show to family, friends or their teacher at school.
How booking works
Every class is a live, 60-minute video lesson with a real teacher. Group classes take four learners at most, and the booking system will not sell a fifth seat. If you would rather your child had the teacher to themselves, every maths and coding course is also available one to one.
A group class is $11 and a one-to-one class is $16, priced per class. You can pay class by class or book the whole course. Your family’s very first class costs $1, once per family, so you can see the teacher and the format before committing to anything.
Class times are shown in your own time zone when you book. If something comes up, you can move or cancel a class up to 24 hours before it starts. There is no subscription, so nothing renews in the background, and you are welcome to sit in on any lesson.

What age can my child start coding?
Our coding courses are for ages 8 to 16. If your child can read and type comfortably, they can start with Python Beginner.

What time are classes in Australia?

How much do coding classes cost?
A group class of up to four learners is $11 and a one-to-one class is $16, priced per class. Your family’s first class is $1.
What does my child need?
A laptop or computer with a webcam. Coding needs a keyboard and a proper screen, so phones and tablets will not work.
