What the SAT math section tests
The digital SAT’s math section focuses on algebra, advanced math, problem-solving and data analysis, and geometry and trigonometry. A calculator is allowed throughout, which changes what the hard questions look like: they reward understanding the structure of a problem more than grinding through arithmetic.
Many strong students lose points not on content they do not know, but on misreading a question, running out of time, or missing a faster route to the answer. Good preparation fixes both the gaps in knowledge and the habits.
How the course works
SAT Math is sixteen live, 60-minute classes for ages 14 to 16. Each class focuses on one area of the test, re-teaches the underlying idea where needed, then works through test-style questions together and under time.
Because groups are four students at most, the teacher can see which question types each student gets wrong and why, and give them targeted practice. Students who want an entirely personal plan can take the course one to one.
We recommend taking an official practice test first, so classes can start with the topics costing the most points. If algebra itself is the weak spot, Algebra Mastery, sixteen classes for ages 12 to 16, is the better first step.
When to start
Most students do best starting two to four months before their test date. That leaves time to work through all sixteen classes, take a practice test in the middle, and adjust the focus for the second half.
Starting earlier is fine, especially for students who want to build algebra first. Starting later is possible too, with more classes per week, or one to one.
Common ways students lose points
Reading too fast: the question asks for the value of 2x, and the student stops at x. Losing track of units, or answering in the wrong form. Spending three minutes on one hard question and rushing five easy ones at the end.
Each of these is a habit, and habits change with practice under realistic conditions. In class, students work test-style questions under time, then talk through not just the right answer but the fastest reliable route to it and the trap the question set. Over sixteen classes, that review is where most of the improvement comes from.
How booking works
Every class is a live, 60-minute video lesson with a real teacher. Group classes take four learners at most, and the booking system will not sell a fifth seat. If you would rather your child had the teacher to themselves, every maths and coding course is also available one to one.
A group class is $11 and a one-to-one class is $16, priced per class. You can pay class by class or book the whole course. Your family’s very first class costs $1, once per family, so you can see the teacher and the format before committing to anything.
Class times are shown in your own time zone when you book. If something comes up, you can move or cancel a class up to 24 hours before it starts. There is no subscription, so nothing renews in the background, and you are welcome to sit in on any lesson.
