Why we exist
Most online learning is a video with a chat box.
A child watching a pre-recorded video is not being taught. Nobody notices when they stop following, nobody asks them a question they cannot dodge, and nobody knows their name by the third week.
We built the opposite of that, and then wrote down the rules that keep it from drifting back.

In her words
I kept losing the quiet ones.
I taught in rooms of thirty. Not badly, I think — but there were always four or five children I could not reach, and I could name them. They were not the ones who acted out. They were the ones who had learned that if they said nothing for long enough, the lesson moved on without them.
You cannot fix that with a better lesson plan. Thirty children is a number problem. So I stopped teaching around it and started teaching four at a time, and the difference was not subtle: in a room of four, silence is conspicuous.
Everything here is that one observation turned into software. None of it started as a feature list.
I still teach here every week. If I would not put my own class through a rule, it does not go in.
Our rules, and their receipts
Three promises, and the thing that stops us breaking each one.
Anyone can write the left-hand column. The right-hand column is the only part that matters, and every line of it is something you can check yourself in your first hour on the site.

Four learners, or one.
A child who can hide at the back will. In a class of four there is no back.

A constraint in the booking system, not a line in a brochure. The fourth seat closes the class — there is no override.

You can walk into any lesson.
Every safeguarding failure in tutoring shares one precondition: an adult alone with a child, unobserved.

Agreed in writing before a teacher is allowed to meet a child. A condition of teaching here, not a courtesy.

Nothing renews on its own.
A subscription earns most from the families who use it least. We did not want a business that quietly prefers your child stops turning up.

There is no membership record in the system, so there is nothing that could renew.
No catch, stated plainly
How we make money, in one sentence.
You pay for a class, the teacher is paid the larger share of it, and we keep the rest to run the platform. That is the whole model. There is no second revenue stream, which is why there is nothing else we are quietly optimising for.
We are paid per class
If your child does not book, we do not earn. Our incentive and yours point the same way — classes worth coming back to.
We do not sell data
Your family is not an audience segment. Nothing about your child is packaged, brokered, or sold, in any form, to anybody.
We do not run ads
No advertising anywhere in the product. A child in a lesson is not something we are willing to rent out attention on.

Not a roadmap of everything we might do. The short list of things already being worked on, so you know where this is going before you commit to it.
Recordings on your child’s page.
Once a class finishes, its recording appears on your child’s own page — the lessons they actually sat in, theirs to rewatch. It is the next thing we are switching on. Until it is live, a missed class is rescheduled rather than replayed.
A teacher of their own, on the same slot each week.
Continuity is already how the booking works — book the same time again and the same teacher is there. We are making that the default rather than something you have to arrange yourself.
More courses, only as fast as we can staff them.
Every course listed is one we can actually run this week. We would rather show you a catalogue that is entirely real than a longer one where half the classes need a teacher found first.
